With nearly two decades of experience preceding and
including the rise of the current Bourbon and Rye boom, and the evolution of
the market to premium and craft spirits; Henry Joe’s experience spans the USA, the
UK and the entire European continent as well as the Middle East.
As an independent agent for Heaven Hill Distilleries, Henry worked with a wide variety of brands and spirits from vodka, tequila, and boutique liqueurs to traditional American Bourbon and Rye whiskies.
During his time in the industry, Henry developed many relationships, including the much admired and respected industry icon, Parker Beam as well as his son Craig. Henry has also worked closely with the Whiskey Professor himself, Bernie Lubbers.
Henry has personally trained thousands of consumers and industry professionals about American whiskey since 1999 from Glasgow to Dubai, Spain to Estonia, and even in exotic places like Arusha, Tanzania.
Well respected for his product knowledge and lore, Henry is also known for his integrity to his product as well as his genuine and contagious enthusiasm. He hasn’t ever lost his sense of being a consumer of the products he loves so much.
At the end of 2016, Henry began a thorough and extensive tour of North American craft distillers, acquiring a unique in depth awareness of these new brands and expressions and comparing them to his vast knowledge of European and international market trends and consulting.
